Dental hygienists are dental care professionals who work as part of the dental team.
While dentists concentrate on treating tooth and gum conditions, the dental hygienist plays a very important role in helping to prevent problems from arising.
A dental hygienist carries out procedures such as scaling and polishing teeth, and applying topical fluoride and fissure sealants.

What can you expect from our Dental Hygienist?

Our dental hygienist (use their name here) is trained in the prevention of periodontal disease and dental cavities. He/She will examine and chart your teeth noting any bleeding, swelling or inflammation. He/She will remove any plague and calculus by gently scaling and polishing your teeth.

He/She will also answer any questions you might have with regards to dental hygiene at home and provide information and tips on the use of toothbrushes, dental floss and mouth wash.
