How does the Inman Aligner treatment work?
The Inman Aligner uses a coil spring that applies pressure to the teeth which need to be repositioned. It is countered by a thin plastic bar which runs across the front of the teeth and this creates a squeezing effect on the designated teeth. The pressure however is extremely gentle, making it the main reason why it works so effectively. This low pressure can in fact reduce the natural resistance of the tooth to movement, which therefore increases the overall speed of the process.
How long does the Inman Aligner treatment take?
Your Inman Aligner is fitted following an individual consultation. This is designed to ensure that the treatment caters to your specific requirements.
Only four short appointments are needed, the first being an initial consultation. Dental records are also required at this initial consultation, as they will pay a key role in the shape the Inman Aligner used.
At your second appointment, we will fit your Inman Aligner, which normally takes place around ten days later. We usually use the final two appointments to make final minor adjustments to your fitting and to ensure it is as comfortable as possible.
